30th Anniversary Feature: Kim Burket & Krissi Fry: Growing the Mission, Honoring the Heart
From its earliest days as a small church ministry, Goodness Village has always been about more than just providing a place to stay—it’s about serving with compassion, creating community, and walking alongside families during some of their hardest moments.
When the original founders were ready to pass the baton, they handed Kim Burket a set of keys, a notebook, and a legacy. With her deep-rooted faith and a heart for service, Kim stepped into the calling. She wasn’t just taking on a role—she was stepping into a mission.
At her side was Krissi Fry, steady, compassionate, and deeply committed to the heart of the work. Together, they transformed Goodness Village from a small ministry into a thriving 501(c)(3) nonprofit—always keeping the guests at the center, and honoring the faithful foundation that started it all.
Under Kim and Krissi’s leadership, Goodness Village has grown into a vibrant, welcoming community serving families from all across the country. And even as we expand, one thing hasn’t changed: the spirit that drives our mission is the same spirit that filled those first apartments 30 years ago.
This is the heart of Goodness Village. And we’re just getting started.
